Privacy policy

Who we are
StreamingCompass at streamingcompass.com is operated by Henrik Lantz Hedström. This policy explains what the guide collects, why, and the choices you have.
To ask for a copy of your information, a correction, or a deletion, email contact@streamingcompass.com.
What this guide does
StreamingCompass helps you find where a film or series can be watched legally in the country you choose. We do not host video, sell subscriptions, or ask you to create an account.
Posters, descriptions, and the list of services come from The Movie Database (TMDB). Where a title can be watched can be late or wrong. The streaming service is the place to confirm it.
Information you give us
If you email contact@streamingcompass.com, we receive the address you write from and whatever you put in the message. We use that only to reply and to keep a record of the request.
The contact form on this site opens your own email app. It does not send the message through our servers.
Information collected automatically
When you open the site, the host that delivers it receives the usual connection data: IP address, browser type, the page you requested, and the time. The host uses this to deliver the page and to keep the service secure. We do not use it to build a profile of you.
We do not store your country or language on your device. The page address carries that choice. A search is sent from our server to TMDB so we can show titles and posters. TMDB’s own privacy policy applies to that request.
Cookies and affiliate links
We do not use cookies on this site, and we do not sell personal information.
Some buttons are affiliate links. If you start a trial, subscribe, rent, or buy after using one, we may earn a commission. The service may tell us that a referral happened, usually without your name. After you leave, that service’s own cookies and privacy policy apply. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
How long we keep information, and who sees it
Emails you send us are kept as long as needed to handle the request, then deleted. Host logs follow the host’s usual retention, typically a few weeks.
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the host that serves the site, with TMDB when we request a title, and with a streaming service if you choose to go there.
Your rights in Europe and the United Kingdom
If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and object to our use of it. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Connection logs are kept because we have a legitimate interest in running and protecting the guide. Country and language are stored because you asked the guide to remember them.
California, children, and changes
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in the California Consumer Privacy Act. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. You can email contact@streamingcompass.com to ask what we have and to ask us to delete it. We will not treat you differently for asking.
StreamingCompass is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If we change this policy, the date at the top will change. Continued use of the guide after that date means you accept the update.
